HLA Haplotype Calculator

Pick the numbers from your HLA-DR / DQ blood test and this will tell you which susceptibility group your haplotype falls into — the groupings used in mold and biotoxin illness practice.

Where these numbers come from

  1. Your HLA-DR/DQ result is a blood test. The report lists two rows — one haplotype inherited from each parent. You can enter both below.
  2. Each row is written as three numbers, like 11-3-52B. The first is DRB1, the second is DQ, and the third (51, 52 or 53) is filled in for you.
  3. Pick your DRB1 and DQ numbers from the two menus. If your report uses long allele codes like DRB1*11:01, the number you want is the first pair — 11.

Choose a DRB1 and a DQ number for at least one haplotype. If your report shows two rows, enter both — one susceptible haplotype is enough to matter.

The full groupings

These are the haplotype groups described in biotoxin illness practice. Anything not listed here has no recognised susceptibility attached to it — which is not the same as protection.

For information only. This calculator reproduces published haplotype groupings and is not a medical device, a diagnosis, or a genetic counselling service. These groupings come from clinical observation in biotoxin illness practice and are not universally accepted in mainstream genetics. A susceptible haplotype does not mean you are ill, and a haplotype that is not listed does not mean you cannot become ill. Discuss your actual result with your practitioner.
